What You Can Expect - Practitioner Education Seminar
Autism, AD/HD, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, neuro-behavioural and related disorders often have dietary and/or biological causes that can be treated effectively once the underlying causes are known. Intestinal pathogens, inborn errors of metabolism, inadequate protein consumption, food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, environmental chemicals and toxins, gastrointestinal disorders and enzyme deficiencies can all contribute to improper brain chemistry and biological functioning.
This educational opportunity will explore these underlying causes with an emphasis on science based information along with clinical applications in the treatment of these disorders. Specialized laboratory testing for metabolic, nutritional, gastrointestinal & immunological factors utilizing blood, urine, stool and hair testing will be discussed.
The practitioner will gain understanding in interpreting laboratory test results & how to design and implement a comprehensive and individualized treatment program based on each individual’s clinical and metabolic presentation. We will be discussing the role of nutritional supplements, botanical medicine, dietary interventions, detoxification therapies and healing the underlying disorders that contribute to the overall health and well being of the individual.
